The treatment ## Density work for thinning hair, explained Thinning is a contrast problem before it is a hair problem. What people notice is not the missing follicles but the pale scalp showing between the ones you still have, particularly under overhead lighting. Reduce that visible scalp and the same head of hair looks substantially fuller. This is why density work can transform a thinning crown while the hair itself is unchanged: the eye reads shadow between follicles as more hair. ### Placing pigment between existing hairs Impressions are placed in the gaps rather than over follicles, at a matched depth so they sit at the same visual plane as your hair.
